Follow Along with National Sight Week!

The ASCRS Foundation is celebrating our 6th National Sight Week! Operation Sight volunteers across the United States are providing charitable cataract surgery to uninsured patients in need. Join us in recognizing those whose generosity and volunteerism have changed so many lives for the better.

"We love [National Sight Week]! The staff donates their time, and we make it a celebratory event. We promote National Sight Week in the community, the local media and with our optometric partners who we invite to join us as well. It really has been a great community builder for our practice"

- Carrie Jacobs, COE, OCS, ASOA Board Member and Operation Sight Volunteer

Without the support of volunteers, Operation Sight patients would be unable to afford or access cataract surgery. From locations across the country their life-changing work enables patients and their families to return to lives of independence and confidence with restored sight!

The ASCRS Foundation celebrates our volunteers’ commitment to changing lives. To ensure that you don't miss any part of National Sight Week, we have released an exclusive video showcasing a week of releases and posts! Join the celebration by following the ASCRS Foundation on social media or download 2021 National Sight Week digital swag by clicking here

Operation Sight volunteer interviews are being released throughout the week! We’ve selected three Operation Sight volunteers whose community impact has been astounding. Check out the interviews to learn more about our volunteers' commitment to making a difference.

Volunteer with Operation Sight and even one charitable cataract surgery per year will have an immeasurable impact on the life a patient, who would otherwise be unable to access or afford care. To become involved and register as an Operation Sight volunteer, please click here.
