2021 ASCRS Foundation Resident Excellence Award Nominations

2021 Resident Excellence Award Nomination Period Opens January 29, 2021

“I would want to pass along my sincere gratitude and say thank you. ASCRS is my favorite meeting not just because of what happens on the stage, but also off. Being able to take part as a resident was an amazing experience. Residency can be a grind and receiving that “good job” and pat on the back from those that have come before us really fills the tank”
- Brent Kramer, MD
UNC Department of Ophthalmology

ASCRS was founded by young, enterprising ophthalmologists and the ASCRS Foundation's Resident Excellence Awards carry on and honor that tradition. We are pleased to announce the 2021 Resident Excellence Award Nomination period opens tomorrow, January 29, 2021!

The ASCRS Foundation makes ten awards each year to enable ophthalmology residents exhibiting exemplary performance in research, patient care, leadership, and education to attend the ASCRS Annual Meeting. Awardees receive a $1,000 travel grant, four nights’ accommodation and complimentary 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting registration.

Those eligible for the award includes U.S. and international residents, who are residents in at least their second year or those currently in fellowship. Residents must be nominated by their program director or coordinator or may apply with program director approval, which includes written recommendation.

The nomination period is January 29 – March 1, 2021 at 5:00 PM ET. For more details or to submit a nomination, please click here.
